You wouldn’t expect a poorer nation like Columbia to be producing quality gourmet coffee, but their National Federation of Columbian Coffee Growers have invested a great deal of time in standardisation procedures, and coupled with great advertising have resulted in Columbian coffee being both inexpensive, and excellent.

Coffee in Columbia is serious business. The Columbian coffee growers specialise in the Arabica bean, the more flavoursome, but finicky one to grow.
